Winter course German
TaalTaal offers quality German courses on several levels. Our groups consist of 5 to 10 students, so you will have lots of personal attention and guidance.
The new season starts in the week of January 16th 2012 and consists of 11 lessons of 90 minutes. There is no class during school holidays. It is possible to sign up for an already running course.
Please take into account about 2.5 hours of self-study next to the regular courses. If you need extra help, you can make use our of complimentary self-study sessions every Friday or you can take private classes (reduced fees apply).

Longer lessons: starting September 2011, all non-Dutch lessons have been extended to 1,5 hours instead of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Course overview
German Level 1
Level before course: You have not yet participated in a German course.
Level after course: You know the basics of the German language and you're able to have short conversations. During the course you've practised with personal pronouns and regular verbs. You have a larger vocabulary and you've been introduced to the typically German "Nahmfalle". Your CEFR level is A1.
Method: To be announced
Frequency, duration, day and time: One lesson a week for 11 weeks: Wednesday between 19:45 and 21:15.

German Level 2
Level before course: You have participated in the German course level 1 or another similar course.
Level after course: Your vocabulary is larger and you know more about grammar in use. You are able to have conversations on several topics. You can also read short texts and formulate an opinion. You are able to write letters/emails. Your CEFR level is A1/A2.

Frequency, duration, day and time: One lesson a week for 11 weeks: Friday between 18:00 and 19:30.

German Level 3
Level before course: Voor de cursus: u heeft een cursus Duits 2 of een gelijkwaardige cursus gevolgd. Uw spreekvaardigheid en uitspraak zijn redelijk, het tekstbegrip en de woordenschat hebben nog aanvulling nodig.
Level after course: U heeft te maken gehad met de voorzetsels met 3e en 4e naamval en de vervoegingen van het bezittelijk voornaamwoord. Uw spreekvaardigheid is verbeterd door o.a. het telefoongesprek en thematische discussies over onder meer verkeer en doktersbezoek. Uw uitspraak is natuurlijker. U begrijpt kortere teksten en kunt een inhoudelijk gesprek hierover voeren. Schriftelijk kunt u zich beter uitdrukken. Your CEFR level is A2/B1.

Certificate
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate with your proficiency level. We use the standardized Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), also known as ERK in Dutch.
