Winter course Russian
TaalTaal offers quality Russian courses on several levels. Our groups consist of 5 to 10 students, so you will have lots of personal attention and guidance.
The new season starts in the week of January 16th 2012 and consists of 11 lessons of 90 minutes. There is no class during school holidays. It is possible to sign up for an already running course.
Please take into account about 2.5 hours of self-study next to the regular courses. If you need extra help, you can make use our of complimentary self-study sessions every Friday or you can take private classes (reduced fees apply).

Longer lessons: starting September 2011, all non-Dutch lessons have been extended to 1,5 hours instead of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Course overview
Russian Level 1
Level before course: You have not yet participated in a Russian course.
Level after course: You've received an introduction to the Russian language. You know the gender of nouns, simple verbal forms and grammar constructions. You can have short and easy conversations in Russian. You read and write the Cyrillic alphabet.

Frequency, duration, day and time: One lesson a week for 11 weeks: Tuesday between 18:00 and 19:30.

Russian Level 2
Level before course: You have participated in the course Russian Level 1 or a similar course.
Level after course: Your Russian vocabulary is larger. You've learned more grammar: declension of nouns, plural forms, conjugations and tenses. You are able to make yourself understood on several everyday topics and have short conversations.

Russian Level 3
Level before course: You have participated in the course Russian Level 2 or a similar course.
Level after course: You built up new vocabulary, learned verb aspects and more complex grammatical systems. You are able to achieve basic communicative objectives in communication.

Certificate
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate with your proficiency level. We use the standardized Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), also known as ERK in Dutch.
